Positioned just off the M65, the new Super8 Chester hotel reimagines budget-friendly stays, welcoming guests to a design space that feels familiar and inviting through timeless minimalism and practical, contemporary interiors.
Surpassing conventional expectations of traditional budget accommodations, Super8 creates a space accessible for the whole family, levelling up a simple design concept and widening choice through a selection of room types to suit stays from equipped apartments to twin rooms.
THE DESIGN SCHEME
ABOUT
All rooms feature two EGGER woodgrain decors: the paired light, natural decors demonstrate how conscious coordination can elevate hospitality settings and maximise perceptions of space in budget hospitality environments.
The hotels interiors include a contemporary and functional blend of warm mustard highlights that complement EGGER's natural, light woodgrains, set against effortlessly stylish white walls and linen. The result? A bright but calm environment, creating a space where guests can relax and recharge.

SANDSTONE GLADSTONE OAK
Key to the scheme is the application of EGGER's H3309 ST28 Sand Gladstone Oak, part of the Feelwood® collection, specified for all bedroom furniture including wardrobes, desks, bedside tables and wall panelling.
The authentic planked oak effect nods to traditional craftsmanship and is reminiscent of timeless interior styles. It adds a natural aesthetic to the rooms, creating a classic and warm residential feel. Its synchronised pore surface – which perfectly aligns decor print with texture emboss for the closest look and feel of genuine timber - means the finish is barely distinguishable from the real material.

NATURAL KENDAL OAK
The addition of H3170 ST12 Natural Kendal Oak, specified for the interior doors, creates a natural look with a hint of understated elegance. The decor displays cut florets with a few small knots throughout, creating an authentic looking character to the decor.
Combined with ST12 Omnipore Matt, Natural Kendal Oak provides a quality finish while offering the robust, durable functionality necessary in hospitality settings.
The coordinated woodgrain decors provide longevity and reliability, demonstrating how thoughtful material choices can transform simple interior design concepts into a memorable and welcoming destination for guests.

Super8 Chester ensures its rooms are future-fit by choosing lasting, durable materials that meet the functionality requirements of high footfall interiors and stay looking good over time. By making conscious material choices, the design also benefits the operations of the hotel with simple cleaning, reduced refurbishment cycles, and the removal of ongoing maintenance.
Decorative Chipboard, used for the guestroom case goods, ensures robust furniture that is simple and efficient for project fabricators to process, keeping timelines on track. Its surfaces withstand scratches and stains and offer antibacterial properties in accordance with ISO 22196 – perfect for maintaining hygiene requirements amidst frequent guest turn over.
Door Laminate is pre-cut to standard internal door dimensions, which streamlines project fabrications and keeps labour costs lean. Its resilient surface features an additional overlay for increased abrasion resistance – ideal for the repeated impact of guest luggage over time. In woodgrain decors, the material offers significant cost-saving against true wood veneer thanks to the removal of any additional processing or ongoing maintenance.
Both materials used in the interior also offer lightfastness, and guaranteed design consistency in every sheet. In hotel interiors, this means partial refurbishment or replacement over time can be done seamlessly, maintaining a uniform look across any number of guestrooms, corridors, and hotel sites.
